Loughglynn Community Centre
The Centre is a new complex incorporating a sports hall, a childcare centre and a number of rooms to incorporate its use as a social centre for the people in the community. It opened for use in September 2006 with the sports hall being used constantly throughout the winter. Many activities take place here, including basketball, soccer, badminton, weight training, boxercise, dancing and music classes, to name but a few! The rooms upstairs provide space for VEC classes etc, and are also available for renting. Our community centre committee are, at present, planning to provide a youth office, in one of the rooms upstairs. The childcare centre is open all year round as it caters for pre-school, toddler and afterschool.
The sports hall has a beautiful maple floor and acoustagraph, which makes it a great venue for the music and dances being held there this summer. We invite you all to come to Loughglynn for what promises to be a fantastic weekend of socialising, fun and craic!
